Chapter 7, Our Little Eventfull Vacation"Well all I want to know is how exactly does our space station get so dusty. You would think that being in space it would be different and that there would be no dust, but nope not on ours." Cait said as she started dusting off some of the electronics.
"What I want to know is how exactly you got held for this long by the United Nations?" CC asked as she started towards the bar room.
"Well I was kinda asked by Cait and some of the others to stay there and not to do anything that could start any kind of a conflict. Besides it's amazing how many channels those tv's get when the generals get tired of playing twenty questions." I replied. "While we're asking questions, why exactly did it take so long to get the transporter fixed?"
"Well, since Nela ate the last one, it took awhile to test all of the possible repairmen. Not to mention it takes awhile to raise that kind of funds." Snick answered.
"How much did you need?" I asked.
"About $1 million and than some." Cait answered.
"Geez I have that much in my Swiss Bank account that I can give you if you only asked." I replied.
"Except you were in an unavalible location." Cel responded as she started towards the back rooms.
"So, how did you get the money?" I asked.
"Well, it's was quite intersting. See first we had to find a way to transfer the money so that certain people wouldn't know that what were doing. Then we had to find a way to raise that much money in so little time. So of course we took a page from you book. We started investing in stocks and you remember how high the blue chips were earlier this last few months. After that we made our money and decided to store the rest of the money in non govermental controlled t-bonds and, with hope of the future, we should be able to fix up the space station without having to make deals with you." CC answered.
"So what are you saying?" I asked.
"What she's saying is that when we make deals with you for money something always has to do with some kind of strange and usually dangerous event." Snick said.
