The following is page two of the screen play written by our very own Jagger.  It is broken down into it's acts, so if you need to leave and come back, you can easily scroll to your last stopping point.  Please enjoy the story.

-XVI-

(The cave.  Outside the storm has quieted.  Siobhan and Duncan are laying on the ground by a fire wrapped in a plaid.  Duncan is watching Siobhan sleep.  Siobhan's eyes open and she looks up at him.)

Siobhan: Ummm, hi.

(She looks away.  With one finger Duncan turns her face back to him.)

Duncan: Hi.

Siobhan: That was- (She stops, searching for words.)

Duncan: (Grins) Yes, it was.

(Siobhan stares at him for a moment.  A slow smile spreads on her face, she laughs lightly.)

Siobhan: Yes, it was.

(They both laugh.  Duncan leans down to kiss her, gently.  The kiss quickly turns passionate. They pull apart.)

Duncan: Are you okay?

Siobhan: Yes.  Much better than okay. (Runs a finger along his arm.) Duncan, can we do that
        again?

Duncan: Oh, yeah.

Siobhan: Now?

(In response, Duncan kisses her again.  She moves against him under the plaid, arching up.  Duncan pulls slightly out of the kiss.)

Duncan: (muttering) I think I've created a monster.

Siobhan: And this is a problem how?

Duncan: Let me think about it.

(Leans back into the kiss.)

(Later:  Duncan and Siobhan are still laying wrapped in the plaid.  Their swords are laying on the ground next to them.  Siobhan is staring at them.)

Siobhan: Shannon gave me this sword. (Pauses) Ramirez gave it to her. She loved him, you
        know.  He didn't.

Duncan: He didn't love her?

Siobhan: Sadly enough I think he did love her.  He never realized how she felt.

Duncan: (stroking Siobhan's arm.) She never told him?

Siobhan: No.  Ramirez had this rule about relationships with other Immortals.  Friendship was one thing but nothing more.  She wouldn't have risked losing what she did have.

Duncan: It must have been very difficult for both of them.

Siobhan: He gave her the crucifix as well.  She never took it off.  (Siobhan rolls on to her back
to look at Duncan.) I have to get that crucifix back, Duncan. He gave it to her before he
went to find Connor.  He never came back. (Looks back at the sword.) She was never the
same.  She gave me the sword and never left the convent.  I have to get the cross back.

Duncan:  (Kisses her temple.)  We will get it back.  Together.  All of us.

Siobhan: Yes we will. (Frowns slightly, whispering.)  All of us.

Duncan: Siobhan?  (Siobhan looks up at him.) Are you sure you're okay?

Siobhan: (Softly) Why wouldn't I be?

Duncan: Because you've never been with a man before, have you?

Siobhan: (Pain flares in her eyes and she looks away quickly.) I told you about my past.

Duncan: That's not the same.  Not remotely the same.

(Siobhan turns toward Duncan.  He rolls onto his back, pulling Siobhan on top of him.)

Siobhan: No, it's not the same. (She runs a finger across his cheek.) I wanted this.  I didn't
know I could feel that, that alive.  Thank   you.

Duncan: No.  Thank you.  (Duncan pulls her into a passionate kiss.)

(Siobhan and Duncan ride up to the stables at Rachel's.  Methos and Conor are waiting for them.)

Methos: I want to talk to you, Macleod.

Siobhan: (Warning) Da.

Duncan: It's okay, Siobhan.

Siobhan: No, it's not okay. He's your friend, Da.  One of the few you have ever trusted.  What is
        wrong with you?

Methos: I don't want you to get hurt.  Not anymore.

Siobhan: (tears in her eyes.) Da, it wasn't....

Methos: (Voice breaking)  I know that now. I really do.  (Places a hand on her ankle looking up
at her.)  When you were convent, it made things easier for both of us.  Even those times
when you left, I always knew you would go back.  Shannon tried to tell me that wasn't
really where you belonged.  That you were hiding there.  I didn't listen.  I realize what she
meant now. You are my daughter and, more importantly, you are Brenna's daughter.  She
wouldn't have belonged in the convent and neither do you.

(Looks at Duncan and clears his throat before continuing.)

No father thinks any man is good enough for his little girl.  You are my friend.  Sometimes
I think you're a little too honourable for your own good and it gets you in trouble.  I don't
want Siobhan involved in trouble.  I know, though that you would do anything in your
power to protect her.  I also know that I can't stop her from living anymore.  If you are what
she wants I won't stand between you.

Duncan: Thank you, Methos.  I didn't want to lose our friendship over this.

Siobhan: Da. (Slides off her horse into Methos' arms, hugging him tightly.)

Methos: You understand, though, that I'll be obliged to take your head if you hurt her.

Duncan: (grins at him) I understand you'll have to try.

Connor: (Steps forward.) Good now that we've cleared that up I have something else important
        I want to discuss.

Duncan: What's that?

Connor: (Grinning) Breakfast.  Can we eat?  I'm starving.

Siobhan: You're always starving.

Connor: Hey, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

(Later:  Duncan is standing outside looking at the moors.  Methos walks up next to him.)

Duncan:  (Without looking at Methos.) It's time to go back.

Methos: (nods.) Yes, I think we're ready.

(They stand silently for  a moment.)

Methos: You understand that Duval is mine?

Duncan: He arranged for Amanda's death.  He's mine.

Methos: Yes, he arranged for her death.  It was my Brenna he raped and murdered.  My daughter
he tried to destroy.(The old man's eyes are cold and hard.)  I've waited a long time to take
his head.  I WILL do it.

Duncan: (Turns to Methos and nods.)  He's yours.

(The four Immortals are standing with Rachel at the airport.  She hugs each one of them in turn.)

Rachel: You'll call me when this is all over?  Won't you?

Duncan: If we can.

Connor: Don't worry, lass.  We're the best there is. (Pulls her into his arms and kisses her
passionately. He pulls back and strokes her face.) Besides, there's so much to live for. (He
kisses her again, gently, and the Immortals turn to leave.)

(Kage's hall.  The Young Immortal stands nervously in front of the table were Kage is seated with Duval.)

YIMM: We've located them.

Kage: It's about time.  Where are they?

YIMM: (Clears his throat.)  Well....they,umm

Duval: Spit it out, for God's sake.

YIMM: They're on a plane, back to the States.  At least we're pretty sure it's them.

Duval: Well is it them or isn't it?

YIMM: It, it is them.  It has to be.

Kage: (Frowns) On their way back to the States?  Where were they all this time?

(The Young Immortal mutters an intelligble answer and shifts uncomfortably.)

Kage: (His eyes narrowing.)  What did you say?

YIMM: They were in Glenfinnan, Scotland.

Kage: (ROARS)What?  They were in Scotland?  No one checked there?  The Macleods'
ancestral home and no one thought to check there?  (Sags back in his chair.) Idiots.  I'm
        surrounded by total idiots.

Duval: Let us know the minute they land and prepare your men.  Can you do that? (The Young
Immortal nods.)  Then get out of here!

(The Young Immortal runs from the room.)

(It is night.  Duncan and Methos are standing on a hilltop overlooking a large mansion.)

Duncan: This is it.  I hope this works.

(Connor walks up behind them.)

Connor: (Grinning.)  Of course it will work.  Most of them are new.  We all have centuries of
        practice behind us.

(They turn and walk toward Siobhan.  She is on horseback with three riderless horses next to her.  Behind her, all on horseback, are close to 100 other Immortals.  Many faces are familiar.  Among them Terrence Coventry and Gina and Robert Vaillancourt. The three Immortals mount their horses. Connor twists in his saddle to look around him.)

Connor: Who would have thought it?  All of us working together. (Shakes his head and spurs his
        horse forward.)  We ride!

(The thunder is deafening as the Immortals charge down the hillside. Young Immortals pour out of the mansion.  The battle is engaged.)

(Duncan and Siobhan fight there way down a corridor, not bothering to take the heads of Immortals they kill as they go. They arrive in the arena and see Duval and Ariel.)

Duval: Well I wondered when you were going to show up.

Duncan: I wouldn't miss this for the world. (He lifts his sword to meet Duval's)

(Methos appears in the arena, sword drawn.)

Methos: (Bellows.) MacLeod!  We had a deal.  Duval is mine!  You can have the ugly one
behind me! (As if on cue, Kage enters the room.)

Duncan: (Sighs and backs away.) So we did.  He's all yours. (Duncan backs away.  Methos
    moves up to Duval.)

Duval: (Grinning.) It's been a long time, old man.  I have waited for this moment for a long time.

Methos: Are you going to talk or fight?

Duval: Oh, fight.  Definetly.

(They engage swords.  Duncan and Kage approach one another and begin to fight.  Ariel and Siobhan stand looking at one another.  Ariel fingers the crucifix at her throat.)

Ariel: She begged, you know.  (Grins evilly.) Not for herself.  For you.  Begged me not to kill
you.  I told her that I would take great pleasure out of killing you.

Siobhan: (Raises an eyebrow.)  You know, I might believe you except for one thing.

Ariel: What's that?

Siobhan: (Strikes out.) I'm so much better than you.

(The Immortals fight, sounds of battle echoing around them.   Connor enters the hall fighting with Taran.  Terrence, Gina, and Robert enter from the opposite side.  The four pairs of fighters draw closer together.  Duncan takes the head of his opponent.  His victory is followed by that of Methos, Connor, and Siohban.  There is an eerie silence.  The battle beyond the arena has ended as well.  Siobhan bends down and picks up the crucifix.  She squeezes it tightly as the quickening begins.  The power of the quickening flows around them touching each them, then shooting out to encompass them together.  It swirls in the middle of them, like a twister, pulsating.  Gina, Robert, and Terrence block their eyes against the brilliance of it. Out of the center of the twister a silver mist grows.  Figures in the midst become definable.  Ramirez is at the front, his arm around the waist of Shannon.  Behind them are all the Immortals whose quickenings the four now hold.)

Ramirez: (Booming.)  Higlander!  What does it feel like to be part of a true Gathering?

Connor: (Gaping)  Ramirez?  What's going on?

Ramirez: A true Gathering!  We were so wrong!  Ha!  Who knew!

Shannon: (Puts a hand on his chest.) You're confusing them, my love.

Ramirez: (Looks down at her, his eyes soft.)  Of course.  Maybe you should explain.

Shannon: (Smiles gently down at the confused Immortals.) This is the true meaning of the Gathering.  The sharing of the Quickening. You, my old friend,(looking at Methos) and Duncan have shared this before.  The four of you are bound, forever.  Your souls have touched. So   many will not believe.  The fighting will not end.  But you will know.  You know the some of the truth.  And the day will come when you will know all of it.

Siobhan: Shannon. (Her voice breaking.)

Shannon: I am happy now.  Free and with my love.  We must leave you now.(Siobhan opens her
mouth to protest.) Hush.  It is time.

(The figures become blurred and the mist fades.  The twister shoots out one last time to be absorbed by the four Immortals.  They sag to the ground and the building begins to shake around them.  Gina, Robert, and Terrence rush forward.)

Gina: (Grabs Siobhan's arm and hauls her to her feet.) Come on!  This place is coming apart!
(The Immortals rush out of the arena.)

(The Immortals are standing on the hilltop again.  The sun is rising over the ruins of the mansion. Duncan presses a kiss into Siobhan's hair.  She leans back into him.  Methos and Connor stand on either side of them.)

Connor: We didn't get them all.

Methos: No, but we got enough of them.  The ones left won't be much trouble.  Not on their own.

Connor: It's hard to believe.  What happened.

Methos: Yes.  But it gives you hope, doesn't it?

(Connor nods.  The Immortals stand together, watching the new day begin.)

THE END(Thank God)
